Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist competing at flyweight of the UFC. Valentina is her older sister and a fellow UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded another medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, and a gold medal in 2011 and won in the position of IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia started her professional career in at the age of 2003. She was the winner of at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in 2012 as well as The Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a an unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002, when she fought Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won via second-round TKO followed by 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a hiatus to pursue the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by an unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by an unanimous vote. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina demonstrated her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera by knees. Antonina Shevchenko received a UFC contract after the victory. Antonina received a UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi via an undisputed split decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to knock out Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this fight. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three bouts, but lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
