Keira Knightley

She was raised in London to actors Will Knightley and Sharman Macdonald, Knightley obtained an agent when she was just six years old and employed in TV commercials and films. Knightley starred as Sabe in a tiny role as a minor character in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1998). After gaining international fame for her role in the fantasy television series Pirates of the Caribbean in 2003 as Elizabeth Swann (a swashbuckling footballer) and was able to appear in the sports movie Bend It Like Beckham in which she portrayed the teen. She was in the Romantic comedy Love Actually (2003) and was called a promising teenager movie star. Knightley got an Academy Award nod for Best Actress in 2005 for her portrayal of Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine of the historical romance Pride & Prejudice. She was also a star in a range of more period pieces with her character playing a complicated love passion at the end of Atonement (2007) as well as a foodie Georgiana Cavendish on The Duchess (2008), as well as the socialite of the title from Anna Karenina (2012). Her involvement in modern dramas with her role as an aspiring musician as a musician in Begin Again (2013) and as a medical student in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014). Knightley was back in the world of historical drama, appearing as Joan Clarke, in The Imitation Game in which she was a huge success and earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
